1. Joining the Herd

EUMMAE ("we," "our," or "the farmers") is a productivity toolkit designed for science students. This Privacy Pasture Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you graze upon our web application, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Pasture").

By using EUMMAE, you agree to join our herd and the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect from the Herd

Cattle Registration (Account Information)

• 🐄 Apple ID identifier (if using Sign in with Apple)
• 🐄 Account creation date and grazing timestamps

Your Grass (User-Generated Content)

• 🐄 Uploaded images (scans of notebook pages, lab data photos)
• 🐄 Extracted text and data from your uploads (what we chew into cud)
• 🐄 Generated reports and artifacts (the cream that rises)
• 🐄 Search queries and notebook organization metadata

Grazing Patterns (Usage Data)

• 🐄 IP address and approximate pasture location
• 🐄 Browser/device type and operating system
• 🐄 Feature usage patterns (which barns you visit)

3. How We Process Your Milk

We use your information to:

• 🐄 PASTEURIZE your uploads through OCR and data extraction
• 🐄 Navigate THE MILKY WAY to find your notebooks
• 🐄 Let the C.R.E.A.M. rise to the top (generate reports)

• 🐄 Improve the quality of our hay

4. Where We Keep the Barn

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure located in Oregon (us-west1). Your data grazes happily in the Pacific Northwest.

We store:

• 🐄 Your files and images in Cloud Storage (locked in the barn)
• 🐄 Structured data in Cloud SQL PostgreSQL (branded and catalogued)
• 🐄 Search indexes in Cloud SQL PostgreSQL (star maps of THE MILKY WAY)

5. We Don't Sell the Herd

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to other farms. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• 🐄 With your consent (you moo'd yes)
• 🐄 To comply with legal obligations (the agricultural inspector)
• 🐄 To protect our pastures and prevent cattle rustling
• 🐄 With service providers who help run the farm (Google Cloud, Vercel)

6. Your Grazing Rights

You have the right to:

• 🐄 Access: Export all your data at any time (take your hay with you)
• 🐄 Correction: Edit or update your information (fix your ear tag)
• 🐄 Deletion: Leave the herd and delete all your data
• 🐄 Portability: Download your data in standard formats (ZIP it up for the trailer)

7. How Long We Keep the Milk Fresh

We retain your data for as long as you graze in our pasture. When you leave the herd, we will delete all your personal data and uploaded content within 30 days. Anonymized statistics may be retained because they contain no identifiable cow DNA.

8. Barn Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• 🐄 Secure authentication (only registered cattle may enter)
• 🐄 Regular security audits (checking for holes in the fence)

9. No Calves Without Permission

EUMMAE is intended for use by university and college students. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a young calf under 13 has wandered into our pasture, please contact us.

10. Changes to the Pasture Rules

We may update this Privacy Pasture Policy from time to time. We will moo loudly about significant changes. Your continued grazing after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
